CapoVAM Batizado and Formatura Full Weekend May 2025

All the fees for the batizado will sponsor the mestres and help with the renting of the gymnasium for the event.
Our Batizado will begin May 14th, 2025, and the ceremony will happen May 17th, 2025.
May 14th – (Wednesday) at 6:30 pm- Welcome roda and opening of the batizado. SRQ academy (4672 McIntosh Lane, SRQ, 34232)
May 15th – (Thursday) at 6:00 pm – 2 Workshops with mestres then roda at SRQ.
May 16th – (Friday) at 6:00 pm- Split workshops: beginners at PHS (2240 Proctor Rd) and advanced at SRQ (4672 McIntosh Ln) then roda with everyone at SRQ at 730.
May 17th (Saturday) at 11:00 am- CapoKids batizado at Brookside Middle School (3636 S Shade Ave)
May 17th (Saturday) at 12:00 pm- Workshops at Brookside Middle School followed by rodas
May 17th (Saturday) at 2 PM- Batizado and formatura at Brookside Middle School followed by open rodas until 3:30.
May 18th (Saturday) at 8 PM – Afterparty at Beau’s house (2714 Valencia Dr.), there will be food and drink and instruments to play. There is also a pool for those who wish to swim.
When you pay for the Batizado, it’s already included:
*All the workshops
*Incredible rodas.
*All the fun and learning you can have!
If you just come for the one day, you should choose the option of one workshop.
The batizado ceremony is free for visitors unless you want to get our batizado shirt for $20 ( not mandatory).
By registering to the May batizado 2025 at CapoVAM you will be allowed to go to every workshop on all the days plus the batizado.
All CapoVAM students must go to the batizado wearing the white abadas with the logo.
You must test and have all the requirements needed (attendance, etc.) in order to get your cord.
You will be contacted by Mestre Rony or Professor Fogo to see if you are on list to be tested. Check with your teacher to find out if you meet the requirements for your next cord.
