All the fees for the batizado will sponsor the mestres and help with the renting of the gymnasium for the event.
Our May Batizado will begin May 16th, 2024, and the ceremony will happen May 18th, 2024..
May 15th (Wednesday) at 6:30 pm- Welcome roda and opening of the batizado. SRQ academy (4672 McIntosh Lane, SRQ, 34232)
May 16th (Thursday) at 6:30 pm – Workshop with mestres until 9:00 pm then roda.
May 17th (Friday) at 6:30 pm- Workshop with one of the guest mestres until 9:00 pm then roda.
May 18th (Saturday) at 11:00 am- CapoKids batizado at Brookside Middle School (3636 S Shade Ave)
May 18th (Saturday) at 1:00 pm- workshop before batizado, the batizado will follow immediately afterwards at SRQ academy, 4672 McIntosh Lane, Sarasota, FL, 34232..
When you pay for the Batizado, it’s already included:
*All the workshops
*A commemorative T-shirt
*Incredible rodas.
*All the fun and learning you can have!
If you just come for the one day, you should choose the option of one workshop which gives you a commemorative shirt.
The batizado is free for visitors unless you want to get our batizado shirt for $20 ( not mandatory).
By registering to the November batizado at CapoVAM you will be allowed to go to every workshop on all the days plus the batizado and commemorative shirt.
All CapoVAM students must go to the batizado wearing the white abadas with the logo.
You must test and have all the requirements needed (attendance, etc.) in order to get your cord.
You will be contacted by mestre to see if you are on list to be tested. Check with your teacher to find out if you meet the requirements for your next cord.
The event will be held at one of the gyms in town. You will be informed about it.
